Fred Walti is the Co-Founder of the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI). As the former CEO Fred lead LACI to be recognised as one of the most innovative business incubators in the world by UBI. In just five years LACI has helped 65+ companies raise $130M+ in funding, create 1,500 jobs, and deliver more than $335M in long-term economic value. He is now CEO of NGIN, an international program dedicated to opening world markets to cleantech innovators wherever they reside.

LACI houses almost 30 different Cleantech startups, trying to make a better use of resources in a range of different sectors. They are committed to having a diverse mix of entrepreneurs with the unifying vision of making a big impact.

Fred introduced Project Breakthrough to 3 of their companies:

Green Commuter - a transport startup that utilizes a fleet of 100% zero-­emission vehicles to provide a combined service of vanpooling, car sharing, and fleet replacement.

Pick My Solar - an online hub to help homeowners to go solar. The site walks a user through online education and a simple registration process that creates a project for for certified, vetted installers to place bids on.

Entrade - a company manufacturing small-scale biomass generators to produce electricity, heating and cooling from waste products.
